My name is Alex, and Top Dog Clothing & Sports Goods is a family-run business built from real life experience, personal challenges, and a passion for quality clothing.
I work full time as a digger operator, while my wife, Adele, has dedicated over 27 years to the NHS as a staff nurse. Despite our professional backgrounds, we share a strong belief that high-quality clothing, sportswear, and everyday goods should be accessible to everyone — without inflated prices.
We’re also proud parents to our three daughters: Bree, Cody, and Amber, who inspire everything we do.
The inspiration behind Top Dog comes from a personal journey. Due to the sedentary nature of my job, I gained a significant amount of weight, reaching 26 stone. Determined to improve my health and lifestyle, I began cycling — starting with a mountain bike and later progressing to road cycling, alongside regular gym sessions.
Through consistency and hard work, I reduced my weight to 19 stone, and along the way I learned just how important comfortable, durable, and supportive clothing is when you’re pushing yourself physically.
That experience shaped the foundation of Top Dog.
